CAMP RINCE PROVENCE 2009   August 9th - August 16th

You are invited to a 6 day long Irish dance summer camp, to be held in Montpellier (Southern France).
 

  • 3 teachers, all ex stars from top Irish dance shows, managed by Sarah Clark, TCRG and ADCRG

  • 4 levels: whether a complete beginner or an experienced dancer, you will be given all the help and direction you desire to improve your level in Irish dance

  • Intensive: from 9:30 am to 18:00 pm

  • Personal timetable

  • Feis preparation

  • One to one lessons (available on request- extra fee)

  • Showcase

Sarah tanzt in der Show Avalon

Sarah Clark: eine Königin für Avalon

Als Startänzerin der Show Lord of the Dance bis Juli 2004 ist Sarah Clark im September des selben Jahres der Truppe AVALON hinzugekommen.
Sie verkörpert die Rolle der Königin Guenievre in einer Komposition sowohl mit Irischen Step und leichten Step (die Ihrem großen Können alle Ehre macht) als auch einigen bretonnischen Tänzen.

Sarah Clark, die 1978 in London geboren ist, begann den Irischen Stepptanz mit 5 Jahren.
Durch ihre irische Mutter stark ermutigt, zeigte sie schnell ein Talent und eine außergewöhnliche Leidenschaft und bestritt Wettkämpfe auf den Britischen Inseln, in den Vereinigten Staaten und in Kanada.

Mit 18 Jahren kommt sie nach einem Casting zur Truppe Lord of the Dance.
Sie wird schnell der Truppe 1 zugewiesen, in der auch Michael Flatley, der Schöpfer der Show, tanzt.
Sie wird darauf die weibliche Hauptrolle in dieser Truppe bis Juli 2004 tanzen.

Beeindruckt vom interkeltischen Charakter Avalons sowie von der Kraft der Show, in der alles "live" ist, bringt Sarah der Truppe ihr rieseiges Talent und ihre trotz ihres Alters schon grosse Erfahrung.

Als diplomierte Lehrerin (TCRG) bietet sie ebenfalls Steppkurse in Frankreich an.

Sarah Clark is dancing with a show called Avalon.
She plays the part of Queen Guenievre. In that show she is dancing the regular irish dances such as the dances with hardshoes and the light dances, but she also is dancing several "from the old days" Bretonnic dances.

The rest of the story is about Sarah, when she started dancing and that she danced in Lord of the Dance for several years.

Sarah Clark verlässt Lord of the Dance

Sarah hat mir in einem Email geschrieben, das sie LOTD verlassen wird.

Sie hat am am 8 September 2004 in Paris eine Tanzschule ('the paris irish dance company') eröffnet.


Sie ist eine großartige Tänzerin und wir werden sie alle sehr auf der Bühne vermissen. Aber ich habe auch Verständnis dafür. Es ist sicher nicht leicht über Jahre diese hohe tänzerische Leistung zu bringen und fast jeden Tag in einer anderen Stadt zu sein. Das fordert alles von den Tänzern und davor habe ich große Hochachtung. Sarah hat uns mit ihren Tanz viele schöne Stunden bereitet und dafür sage ich noch mal Danke.  Ich hoffe wir können sie vielleicht doch noch bei der einen oder anderen Show einmal wieder sehen.

Ich und sicher auch alle anderen LOTD Fans wünsche ihr noch viel Glück für ihre weitere Zukunft.

To all the dear Austrian fans of Lord of the dance,

I am writing to say farewell and also to thank you all for your undying support and dedication to the show.

All your kind words and gestures were greatly appreciated and you made it easier to be on tour, as it can be hard when you are away from home for long periods of time. To know that we were able to give you so much pleasure from watching every performance that we gave was a wonderful feeling for me.

I have now left the show. I will be sad when I think about not being up there in the spotlight doing what I love to do - dance, but I have decided now that it is time for me to move on to the next chapter of my life.

I am opening up a dance school in France where I will teach Irish Dancing.
My school is called 'the paris irish dance company' and I officially open on September 8th. It will give me great pleasure to bring Irish Dance to France in its traditional form. To be able to pass on all that I have learnt over the last twenty years will be very satisfying for me.

I am writing to let you know that I appreciate your devotion to the show during the time I was dancing for 'Lord of the Dance'. Of all the memories I have taken with me will be one memory of your kindness and support.

I hope your support for the show continues until the day that the final curtain goes up.
